DES Pune University (DES PU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Yotta Data Services to launch an Artificial Intelligence (AI) lab that will provide advanced data analysis capabilities for students and faculty.

This collaboration aims to equip the university community with practical knowledge in data science by offering hands-on access to advanced GPU technology in Yotta’s Shakti AI Lab.

As part of the partnership, approximately 1,800 students and faculty members will have access to Yotta’s AI-powered resources, enabling them to analyze extensive datasets quickly.

The AI lab will also improve computational efficiency, allowing rapid extraction of critical insights from large data sets, which is increasingly valuable for academic and research pursuits.

Dr. Ravindra Acharya, President of DES Pune University, Dr. Prasad Khandekar, Vice-Chancellor of DES Pune University, alongside Yotta representatives Sunil Gupta, Co-founder, MD & CEO of Yotta Data Services, Sandeep Pathak, Vishal Aggarwal, Mangesh Shigwan, and Vishal Patil, discussed how this AI lab will address the technical needs for data aggregation, cloud computing, and server support.

During the signing of the MoU, Sujeet Naik, Non-Executive Director - 3CITS and CEO – Agribiosys, Registrar of DES PU, Dr . Sanjivani Shelke ., and senior researchers from DES PU were present including Dr. Prachi Joshi, Dr. Tushar Deshmukh, Dr. Poonam Deshpande, Dr. Lalit Kulkarni, and Ms. Swati Satpute.

Recently, DES Pune University (DES PU), joined hands with Riskpro Management Consulting Pvt. Ltd., a global leader in risk management education. This collaboration heralds a significant milestone bridging academia and industry, as both the institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to introduce certification courses in Analytics and Forensics.  Currently tailored for the School of Engineering and Technology, these courses aim to foster an analytical mindset among students by prioritizing critical thinking, data analysis, and financial comprehension. These skills are essential for students to flourish in their professional journeys. Under the collaborative agreement, Riskpro will initially offer two certification courses: Analytics for Auditors and Forensics. Each course will carry two credits in the curriculum, providing students with a comprehensive and industry-relevant education.

This MoU was signed with a vision of establishing collaborations for the betterment of students on character development, critical thinking fronts, etc.

Jnana Prabodhini is an institute working in establishing a society on the foundation of rational, scientific, ethical and spiritual values through educational courses, research, rural & urban outreach programs, leadership programs, etc. DES PU is a newly established university with a vision to cultivate a thriving educational ecosystem that fosters holistic growth, intellectual curiosity, and global competitiveness. DES PU carries 138 years of legacy of Deccan Education Society, an institution that has been a vanguard of shaping minds and transforming lives.

The MoU will be implemented keeping in mind the opportunities for Collaborative Research, presenting the students of DES PU with internships opportunities, providing courses designed by Jnana Prabodhini and Jnana Prabodhini Samshodhan Sanstha across UG, PG and Ph.D programs, organization of guest Lectures, workshops, conferences, symposium, etc.

Coolture Designs Pvt. Ltd. focuses on reimagining and rejuvenating various aspects of culture, including heritage walks, traditional games, music, and weaving techniques. Dedicated to preserving and invigorating these cultural elements, Coolture approaches its mission with a deep sense of pride in our heritage, striving to make these elements more relevant and meaningful in contemporary society.

DES PU, a newly established university, envisions cultivating a thriving educational ecosystem that promotes holistic growth, intellectual curiosity, and global competitiveness. With a legacy of 138 years under the Deccan Education Society, DES PU has been instrumental in shaping minds and transforming lives.

The implementation of this MoU will focus on opportunities for collaborative research, internships in animation and filmmaking, joint projects, the creation of products highlighting aspects of Indian culture, and the organization of guest lectures, workshops, and training programs.
