Prof. Samar Nakhate
Film Scholar
Prof. Samar Nakhate is a former Dean of Film & Television Institute of India and has deep interest in the visual arts and the philosophy of science & cultures. He is passionately involved in nurturing and creating new young professionals for film, television and theatre. He has designed syllabus and academic content for various film and television courses including Direction, Production, Scriptwriting and Film Appreciation for FTII, Pune as well as Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute, kolkata. He is also a member of the Selection Committee, Pune International Film Festival.
Prof. Nakhate holds post graduate Diploma in Cinema and Film Direction from FTII, Pune and advance training in Video Programming and Production, Boston University (USA) and was awarded the Fullbright Scholarship for the same.
Prof. Nakhate is a visiting faculty for Film Studies at the department of Filmmaking and Dramatics DES Pune University.

Dr. Amlan Chakrabarti is a Full Professor in the A.K. Choudhury School of Information Technology at the University of Calcutta and also a Visiting Professor at IIIT Delhi . He was a Post-Doctoral fellow at the School of Engineering, Princeton University, USA during 2011-2012. He has 20+ years of experience in Engineering Education and Research. He is the recipient of the DST BOYSCAST fellowship award in Engineering Science (2011), the Indian National Science Academy (INSA) Visiting Faculty Fellowship (2014), the JSPS Invitation Research Award (2016), Erasmus Mundus Leaders Award (2017), the Hamied Visiting Professorship from University of Cambridge, UK (2018), Siksha Ratna Award by Dept. of Higher Education Govt. of West Bengal (2018) and has been awarded as the Fellow of West Bengal Academy of Science and Technology (2022). He has also served in various capacities in various higher education organizations both at national and international levels. He also leads his University in the ALICE-India Collaboration, CERN Geneva. He served the Department of Higher Education Govt. of West Bengal as the Head of the IT and Technology Innovation Cell during 2021-22 and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering of Technology of his University during 2017-20. He has contributed immensely to developing efficient computer algorithms and systems in multiple projects supervised by him at both International and National levels. He led research and consultancy projects supported by CERN Geneva, GSI Helmholtz Research Laboratory Germany, DST, DRDO MietY, Intel, TCS, etc. He has graduated 20 Ph.D. students and has published 200+ research papers. He is the Series Editor of Springer Transactions of Computer Systems and Networks, the Series Editor of the Springer Book Series on “Water Informatics”, an Associated Editor of the Elsevier Journal of Computers and Electrical Engineering and Guest Editor of the Springer Journal of Applied Sciences. He is a Sr. Member of IEEE and ACM, IEEE Computer Society Distinguished Visitor, Distinguished Speaker of ACM, Secretary of IEEE CEDA India Chapter, Member of the International Water Association, Vice President of the Data Science Society and Life Member of CSI India. His research areas are Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Reconfigurable Computing, VLSI CAD and Quantum Computing.

Mr Harpreet Singh Jattana is former Scientist G/Group Head – Design & process Group at Semi-Conductor Laboratory, Dept of Space, Govt of India and led a team of over 78 Scientists. Presently he is Administrator & Faculty at CoE -BIDH PGIMER CHD and Adjunct Professor at DAIICT and also working as a consultant (VLSI) for a company. He has hands-on experience of more than 37 years in the areas of microelectronics which includes CMOS Process development and Integration, VLSI Product Development for Space/Military applications, MEMS Cantilever and Z-measurement MEMS device for Biomedical applications.
Some of his key achievements include Indigenous development of SOI-CMOS Process at SCL, Development of High Voltage Process (20V,40V), Bipolar process, CCD Process, Development of Radiation Hardened Technology for Space and Mil Applications and many more. He also worked at AMS Austria for few months porting SCL Processes, exposure to mass production of CMOS wafers. Showing his active participation in SMDP of Meity, he helped in spreading the VLSI Education in India. He has delivered numerous talks at various IITs/NITs in VLSI and taught microelectronics courses to PG Students at IIST, IITG, PEC, NITTR, Manipal.
