This workshop is designed to provide MA Psychology students (2025-26) with practical, career-oriented skills that complement their academic knowledge and prepare them for professional success.
Under the collaboration with BharatCares, students were oriented about two certifications offered by Honeywell – Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence under its CSR initiative to prepare young individuals for modern careers.
Considering the need for making students strong and capable professionals, a professional grooming workshop was conducted across all schools. Students indulged in various activities to build their capacities as would -be professionals. They not only learnt about resume writing and interview skills but also had a good interaction with experienced and expert faculty members on stress and time management, corporate culture and more.
It was organized for postgraduate psychology students. The workshop aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, with special emphasis on administration, scoring, and interpretation. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Uma Dalvi, a highly experienced Rehabilitation and Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of professional experience in clinical, academic, and institutional settings.
It was organised by the Career Services Department of DES PU. Mr. Avinash Dharmadhikari is the Founder of Chanakya Mandal Pariwar and a former IAS and social worker. The University has signed an MOU with Chanakya Mandal for jointly conducting these two programmes. The session was especially arranged for the students of BA Civil Services & Public Policy and the students of MA Public Policy. The students were highly motivated by interacting with the stalwart who has dedicated more than 50 years of his life to serve the nation. The knowledge, wisdom and experience that he shared during the session were very inspiring. He guided the students about how right attitude and well-cultivated habits would help students to make successful careers.
6. The Career Services Department and the School of Humanities and Social Sciences organized this workshop to enhance students’ analytical and decision-making abilities. In an increasingly complex academic and professional environment, structured problem-solving skills are essential for effective performance and growth. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Abhijeet Bhide, Founder of Satkaam Foundation, and Mr. Rahul Bhide, Co-founder of Satkaam Foundation. Satkaam Foundation is committed to empowering students by bridging the gap between academic learning and industry readiness, and has impacted thousands of students across universities in India.
How to reach your dream goals workshop by Mr. Yukihiro Fujimura, an international consultant and coach was conducted for the students of B.Tech. With an experience of almost 4 decades, Mr. Fujimura has designed and delivered international business training programs. He has an international experience of more than a decade gaining invaluable insights into diverse cultures, markets, and business environments. He provides business coaching and organizational development for start-ups and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs). He trains in the areas of fostering cultural adaptability and understanding, market expansion strategies, team building, mental training, and more.
An insightful session on Drama Therapy & Psychodrama was conducted by Mr. Omkar Mandke for the Masters students of Child & Adolescents Psychology. The session aimed to provide participants with an understanding of how theatre techniques can be integrated into therapeutic settings to enhance mental health & emotional well-being.
A 6-day workshop on Job readiness was conducted in collaboration with GTTF for the post graduate students of the School of Science & Mathematics. Important aspects like SWOT analysis, Problem Solving, Critical thinking, Conflict resolution, People Skills, Adaptability and more were dealt with during the workshop. Students participated enthusiastically in these sessions.

IBM SkillsBuild bootcamp was conducted for all the Masters students of the School of Science & Mathematics. It is designed to make students industry-ready. The curriculum delivers specialized technical training in high-demand fields like cybersecurity, data analytics, and artificial intelligence, complemented by essential professional skills. Students gain practical experience through projects and earn valuable industry-recognized digital certifications that enhance their employability.
The pressing need to transition towards sustainable practices across all industries has become increasingly apparent in recent years. Skills4Future program is a collaboration between Shell India Markets Private Limited and the Edunet Foundation. It aims to empower youth in higher and vocational education with Green skills through Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies.Considering the availability of green jobs in the future, the program seeks to boost employability and equip students for emerging career opportunities that are often inadequately addressed by traditional curricula. The program prioritizes experiential learning and industry-relevant skills to cultivate a future-ready workforce that can drive innovation and sustainability. The Shell India Markets Private Limited and Edunet Foundation jointly present a pioneering Skills4Future program focused on Green skills and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The program offers both an Advanced course (160 hours) and a Foundation course (50 hours) for students enrolled in engineering institutions. The Shell-Edunet Skills4Future AICTE internship is offered pan India.
Two teams from DES PU were shortlisted from 650 teams across India to qualify among the fifty finalists. One of the teams were selected among the thirty final winning teams of the Innovation Marathon 2.0. Ms. Soumya Patharwalkar, Ms. Mitali Jadhav and Mr. Yash Rathi of SY BTech CSE are the winners. Their project was titled “PestGuard AI: Intelligent pest detection and monitoring system”.
Students of MBA and B.Tech. participated in the MS certified training programs. MBA students did the Power BI track wheras the B.Tech Students did the AIML track successfully.
