The M.Sc. Biotechnology and Bioinformatics is a two-year programme that is built on a strong foundation in applied biology, computational, and data analysis. Here, biotechnology harnesses information of living organisms, cells, and biological systems to develop innovative products, technologies, and solutions that benefit society. Complementing this, bioinformatics focusses on analyzing large biological datasets to derive meaningful insights and understand complex biological systems to address complex challenges in these rapidly evolving fields. This M.Sc. program is well-suited for graduates in life sciences who aim to strengthen their career opportunities, expand their knowledge in biotechnology and their own scientific interests, and are also fascinated by the application of advanced bioinformatics techniques. Eligibility and Selection Criteria

Eligibility for the program:
Indian

Minimum 50% aggregate score in B.Sc. degree in any area of pure or applied Life Sciences/Physical Sciences/Chemical Sciences/ Statistics/Mathematics/Computer Science (at least 45% marks, in case of Reserved Category candidate belonging to Maharashtra State only)
OR
Minimum 50% aggregate score in B.E./B.Tech. /M.B.B.S./B.A.M.S./B.H.M.S./ B.Pharm/B.V.Sc. etc.(at least 45% marks in case of Reserved Category candidate belonging to Maharashtra State only

International

Minimum 50% aggregate score in graduation degree in B.Sc./ B. S. (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Botany, Zoology, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Chemistry), B.Pharm., B.Sc./B.S. Agriculture, B.Tech. (Biotechnology and related streams)/ M.B.B.S./B.A.M.S./B.H.M.S./ B.Pharm/ B.V.Sc. etc.

Selection Process:

The selection procedure is based on marks obtained in Remote Proctored Online DES PU PCET - 2026 Exam.
